Greater New Orleans Pagan Pride This Saturday

'Tis the season! Fall has come calling, and we're all waiting for that moment when the winds give a subtle nod to indicate something cooler is coming. I can't wait! This is a great time to reconnect after the struggles of summer, and I want to make sure you all know of an opportunity this weekend.

Pagan Pride Day is happening this Saturday, September 26th at the Music Box Village in New Orleans. The location alone is exciting! This is a funky art village where music meets architecture while simultaneously being outdoors (but shady), and it's going to feel like our own personal Renaissance Festival! Just visiting it is a cool experience because you really get to connect with original art in our city. Just watch the video here and you'll get what I mean!

PPD has also lined up a CRAP TON of food and craft vendors this year (more than I've seen in awhile), dancers, musicians, and fire performers, and a great line-up of speakers from the community (OUR 2026 OAK KING GEORGI IS LEADING A CLASS ON THE IMPLICATIONS AND NUANCES OF OUR SEELIE DURING THE WYLD FIRE BELTANE HUNT!!). Plus, if you're like me, it'll be nice to connect with people again in a group ritual setting. If you've never seen a Druidic ritual, plan to be there at 10am for opening festivities. The PPD board will officiate the closing rite. You can check out the full details at gnopaganpride.com. Bring canned goods to donate to NOVA (community homeless feeding operation) and the kiddos (children's activities provided by The Nature School).

One more thing... Emberglow is a GO! We've been mentioning it on socials, but there is less than one month less to purchase your ticket. Thanks to the community members at this year's Wyld Fire Beltane Hunt who participated in our morning community conversations over breakfast, we have made adjustments to registration prices to offer three tiers of tickets, aimed at allowing people to pay at what level they can afford and and in consideration of social challenges and barriers. More details are at wyldfirehunt.com/attend. AND the Gulf Pagan Resiliency Project (reminder, that's this community nonprofit we're starting together) will have a table at Pagan Pride on Saturday. BUY A TICKET AT PPD AND GET ANOTHER DISCOUNT! I hope that'll be incentive to throw your hat in the ring for our inaugural Emberglow Retreat. We'll also have a few goodies... donated herbs, oils, some statuary, and magickal books THAT ARE FREE! Just a little lagniappe for those who are feeling the spirit of fall gatherings.

I'm excited to see you at Emberglow this year (October 23-25th at the All You Need Institute in Lumberton, MS.) but I also hope you'll join us at Pagan Pride this Saturday, Sept. 26th at Music Box Village (4557 N. Rampart St.) from 10am to 5pm. Did I mention it's free to attend?

I'll see you in-circle!
