Emberglow Postponed to 2026

At the beginning of 2025, I set out with a few goals:

  1. To find an established campground that would welcome our Pagan festival community, and shared our community values of inclusion, sustainability, and spiritual connection.

  2. To form a nonprofit organization that would serve Pagan community interests, namely:

    1. To raise money to purchase land

    2. To hold that land in the interest of the Pagan community (like a trust/co-op)

    3. To create events that would bring the festival community together for spiritual gatherings centered around certain Sabbats

    4. To provide community resources to those who need them

Our 2025 Wyld Fire Beltane Hunt was a significant step forward to achieving these goals, and birthed the idea for Emberglow, a Samhain event that would act in opposition to Beltane.

Since May, I have been completely inundated... a new job led to 80-hour work weeks. While this new schedule was difficult to adjust to, I still had every intention of moving forward with Emberglow in October. And then, my partner suffered a broken leg which morphed into a series of health issues that put his life at risk. As I write this, he has just returned home from the hospital and will spend the next several months recovering. This accident took a lot of time away from planning for Emberglow.

In fairness to both myself and the community that I serve, I don't want to half-ass an event. Therefore, I'm postponing Emberglow until 2026. This will provide the room I need to take care of my partner, while also managing my schedule better so that I can put forward the right planning necessary to host a great event. I've already sent out refunds for tickets already purchased, except for the people who asked me to roll their ticket over to Beltane.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank the many people who made Beltane possible this year. I had overwhelming community support to make Beltane happen, and was utterly grateful for it. To all the people who helped with planning, who contributed gifts and activities, who helped with set-up and clean-up, who prepared kinship meals for the community, from the bottom of my heart, thank you! Beltane felt so different this year because it truly felt like it was propelled by everyone who attended and contributed some time or resources to make it great.

If you are willing to provide either time, treasure, or talent to our upcoming 2026 Emberglow and Beltane festivals, please contact me through this site.

As an additional update, we raised enough money during Beltane to file for legal nonprofit status for this up-and-coming community organization, called the Gulf Pagan Resiliency Project. You may have seen the name change on social media already. There will eventually be a change with the website address and contact email as well. Just remember that the Wyld Fire Beltane Hunt and Emberglow will be the featured events of this new nonprofit, and both events will be open and inclusive of everyone interested in this community of Pagans.

For those who are disappointed by the postponement, I don't blame you. I would highly recommend checking out some other events in the area, including Moonfire Crossroads, a Samhain festival at Wayward Cajun Farms (Calvin LeBlanc's farm... our photographer from this Beltane) which will focus on connecting with the ancestors while the veil is thin. The event schedule is below and tickets can be purchased here, but BEWARE... extremely limited space for this event.

On the plus side, Beltane photos have been uploaded, and attendees will receive their link and password to access them this week!

As always, I am in awe of this community and grateful for all the people I meet and the time I get to spend with you. I hope everyone has an amazing Samhain experience, and I hope to see you for the Wyld Fire Beltane Hunt in 2026!!
